Enter when you started and finished and the tool returns the elapsed time as hours and minutes, plus a decimal-hours figure for payroll. If the end time is earlier than the start it assumes an overnight shift and adds 24 hours, and any break minutes you enter are subtracted from the total.

Does it handle overnight shifts?
Yes. If the end time is before the start time, it treats the shift as crossing midnight and adds 24 hours.
What is the decimal hours figure for?
Payroll systems often use decimal hours (for example 8.5 instead of 8h 30m). The tool shows both.
