Last updated: 13 June 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Alienated Tools (“we”, “us”), at tools.alienatedmedia.com, operated by Alienated Media, handles information when you use the site.
1. Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect personal information ourselves. Our tools are designed to run entirely in your browser:
- Tool inputs — the text, images, video, controller input, keystrokes and numbers you use with our tools are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or stored on a server.
- Preferences & scores — some tools save a setting or a best score in your browser's
localStorage(for example, your light/dark theme choice or a personal best). This data stays in your browser and we cannot read it.
2. Cookies and local storage
We use a small amount of browser localStorage to remember your preferences (such as your theme). The third-party services below — our advertising and analytics partners — may set their own cookies, as described next. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We show ads through Google AdSense to keep the tools free. In connection with this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent choice for personalised advertising and measurement before such cookies are used.
For more information, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
4. Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site — for example which tools are popular and where the layout could be improved. Clarity captures usage data such as clicks, scrolls and aggregated session interactions, and may set cookies to do so. Clarity is configured to mask text and input by default. For details, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
5. Your choices
- Manage or block cookies through your browser settings.
- Opt out of personalised ads via the links in section 3.
- Use the consent prompt shown in the EEA/UK/Switzerland to set your preferences.
- Clear your browser's local storage to remove saved preferences and scores.
6. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. As noted above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
