How the click speed test works

Choose how long you want to click for — 5 seconds is the classic CPS test, but 1-second bursts show your peak and 60 seconds shows stamina. Your first click starts the timer, so there's no wasted reaction time. Click as fast as you can until time runs out, and your score is total clicks ÷ seconds = clicks per second.

What's a good CPS?

CPSRating
Under 3.5Just warming up
3.5–5Average
5–7Good — typical gamer
7–9Excellent
9–12Godlike (jitter / butterfly clicking)
12+Probably a macro 🤖

These are for short bursts. Over a full 60-second test, sustainable speeds drop to around 4–6 CPS for most people.

Clicking techniques

For nearly every game, a steady 6–8 CPS is more than enough — and far kinder to your hand than maxing out the techniques above.

Private by design. Your clicks are counted in your browser and your best score is saved only on your own device. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What is a CPS test?

It measures your click speed in clicks per second — click as fast as you can for a set time, and the tool divides clicks by seconds.

What is a good CPS?

Average is ~6–7 over a short burst; above 8 is fast; competitive clickers exceed 10–14 with special techniques. Longer tests yield lower sustainable numbers.

What are jitter and butterfly clicking?

Jitter clicking vibrates one finger by tensing your arm; butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button. Both push past 10 CPS but can strain your hand.

How can I increase my CPS?

A light mouse, a relaxed hand, and short practice bursts. Techniques raise your peak but tire you out — 6–8 CPS is plenty for most games.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes — tapping counts as clicking, so you can measure your tap speed too.
