CRT TV Simulator

Turn the dial and feel the analog era — the degauss hum at power-on, static snow, color bars and a test card, the channel-knob clunk, and the white-dot collapse when you switch it off.

🔊

How to use it

Press Turn on for the power clunk and degauss hum. Use ◀ CH / CH ▶ to flip through the channels — each switch gives a knob clunk and a burst of static before settling on color bars, snow, a test card or a "Please Stand By" card. The volume slider controls the static hiss. Turn it off to watch the picture collapse to a single white dot.

Private by design. The picture is drawn on a canvas — nothing is streamed, recorded or uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What's that hum when it turns on?

The degauss — old CRTs ran a demagnetising coil at power-on, making that descending "boooong".

Why is there no sound?

Browsers start audio only after you interact. Turn the TV on and check your device isn't muted.

Is anything real being received?

No — the channels are canvas graphics. Nothing is streamed or uploaded.
